You do know Dick Durbin is just 1 senator, right? He’s not some voodoo magician that they can have all his senators vote yes on dream act.

I for one is appreciative of Dick Durbin for continously fighting for us. He’s really the only one. F the Democrats and Republicans.

Twelve Senate Republicans on Tuesday supported final approval of a bill securing federal protections for same-sex marriage, allowing it to surpass the 60-vote threshold needed for passage.

The Republicans in the upper chamber who backed the bill were Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Rob Portman (Ohio), Thom Tillis (N.C.), Mitt Romney (Utah), Roy Blunt (Mo.), Cynthia Lummis (Wyo.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Shelley Moore Capito (W.Va.), Dan Sullivan (Alaska), Joni Ernst (Iowa) and Todd Young (Ind.).

Could we get these 12 votes for DACA?

The lingering optimism is more depressing than the sad reality of things.

They are working on stuff in the background according to some of the new articles, it is better to keep it quiet until it's ready. It paints less of a target

Bridge Act. Keep the status quo. Kick the can down the road. Nothing anyone can call "amnesty for illegals".

At least something will pass and the 30+ year deadlock will finally break. Something needs to give or there will never be any movement. I am fine with a small change as long as we are safe

last REAL effort was when Trump tried to get the wall, we were insanely close but our greatest enemies (democrats and United We Dream) bįchted and moaned about legalization for all or nothing bullshīt.
