That's what 2 years of waiting will do to you.

And if I'm being super honest, it doesnt feel as life changing as when I got my first DACA approval. DACA gave me everything I have. This green card is just security that I won't lose it.

I hope I'm not coming off as ungrateful, because I'm not. This whole journey of dealing with my immigration status my whole life has just been exhausting.

I sincerely hope everyone that is still waiting gets relief soon. Hang in there.
Congratulations! I have a feeling that I'll share similar sentiments once mine gets approved later this year (hopefully sooner rather than later).

My marriage interview got canceled a day before -__-

I went anyway and they told me that in a month they should schedule me again.

So lame. I was on vacation during the holidays stressing about this interview and printing out documents.

I even bought a new flight after the New Year to be home in time. The airport was the fullest I've ever seen.

My flight got canceled and I spent all day in the airport waiting for another flight... fml

Same experience for me. Daca was more life changing for me while my green card just added security and the ability to travel. Still super grateful but I’m not going to pretend I was over excited when I received it as I was when I got daca

Exactly. I'm more exited to finally have the opportunity to become a US citizen in a few years hopefully and be done with dealing with USCIS for good.

I had my marriage interview. It was very odd... We spoke to the interviewer through an iPad. The interview lasted about 2 hours most of that time was spent waiting. The interviewer only asked us how we met and when was our wedding.
Because the interview was virtual we got an RFE to provide the evidence we brought thinking a person would be there.

I filed taxes separately after becoming married, will this be a problem for GC interview?

I know it's not ideal but with the weight of all the other bonafide documents and evidence such as joint bank account, same lease, same addresses, etc, should I expect an issue if we filed taxes separately? I didn't mean to screw it up intentionally, she was under 26 and so I thought it was IRS standard that she's still a dependent under her parents. Turns out the age limit is 24 and we both filed as 'single'. I know we could amend the return and file it as married and it shouldn't be an issue but how bad is this going to outweigh all the other bonafide evidence in the interview? Is it totally going to depend on the interviewing officer I get that day?

If it is bonafide marriage, you should be good but depending on your income, you may save money if you file jointly as a married couple so it may be a win-win.

Good news. My RFE got canceled and my I-130 was approved! The lawyer that was helping me with the RFE will give me a partial refund. Meanwhile still no response from my deportation FOAI...

Quick update for my AOS case. I was finally approved for my GC about 2 months ago. It's been a long, stressful journey for the last couple decades; now, I feel like I can finally breathe a little and relax. Thank you to all the great members of this forum that offered support, advice, and a space to to talk about this stuff.

I self filed both my daca and aos applications. If anyone has questions, I'll do my best to help answer.

Update on my AoS (through marriage with USC):

We submitted all the forms with the help of a local Korean immigration lawyer. Glad we did that because there were so many documents I didn’t realize I needed. And had to order from the Korean consulate and translated and notarized. It was a lot of work.

Finally submitted April 6 and they received it April 8th. Then it took about a month but as of May 11, I’ve been approved of EAD (I-765) plus AP combo so my card will be arriving soon. Still waiting to hear back on I-140 and I-485.
