I'm not sure if they were waiting on a decision on the I-130 before making a decision on the I-485. I thought they both usually got approved at the same time (if they were filed jointly).

In any case, I ain't holding my breath for a decision in the I-485 anytime soon the way this shit has gone for me so far. I'm expecting to wait the full 4 months of review at this point.

For anyone else in the Bay Area, hope to everything you don't get sent to the San Jose Field Office or else you might get stuck in this prolonged infernal waiting game.
Sorry you have to wait so long friend. Glad there's been some movement though.

Well, I officially submitted my AOS package (I did AP last month and had an approved I-130 since 2018 ).
Feels weird now having options.

AOS - sent October 2021
DACA - sent October 2021
I-601A - sent March 2021

This forum is pretty dead. You should check out the Dreamers2gether Facebook group, lots of people post their timelines there.

I got my EAD! My application was received 4/16/21. I got the "Interview is Ready to be Scheduled" on 8/27/21. I received my EAD 11/22/21. I'm hoping I get the interview date soon! What is your timeline? Maybe we can track with each other.

That's great! Can you tell me more? Was your application outside of the normal range of duration? How do I find the USCIS ombudsman contact info? I last received my "Interview is Ready to be Scheduled" update in Aug 2021. It's been 4 months. Is that long enough to contact them you think?

Yes, my application was way out of the normal range. I contacted them after waiting for over a year.
The last update was in July 2021 when they started to process my application.

This is where I contacted the USCIS Ombudsman: https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman/forms/7001

Super late update on my case:

I finally got my green card 2 months ago. It got approved a few days after my I-130 was approved, and then I received it like a week later in the mail. Tbh, I was kinda over the whole thing which is why I didn't post an update sooner. I wasn't even exited when I got it, just relieved that the whole ordeal was over. That's what 2 years of waiting will do to you.

And if I'm being super honest, it doesnt feel as life changing as when I got my first DACA approval. DACA gave me everything I have. This green card is just security that I won't lose it.

I hope I'm not coming off as ungrateful, because I'm not. This whole journey of dealing with my immigration status my whole life has just been exhausting.

I sincerely hope everyone that is still waiting gets relief soon. Hang in there.
