I'm still confused as to how instate tuition will work for us now. I'm planning to move to California in April and would like to do community college there for a while and then transfer to a university. Currently I live in Chicago but my agent tells me I need to relocate because I'm not getting big enough opportunities here (I'm an actress.)
Basically my question is, since I am able to get a license, sign rental agreements, etc, (basically establish residency) after a year of living in Cali will I be eligible for instate tuition like everyone else? Also if I do not attend school in LA (because I didn't qualify for instate tuition) and decide to move back, will I still be eligible for instate tuition in Illinois, since I was never a legal California resident?
Sorry this might be confusing, hope you guys can help me because I'm a perfectionist and need to have a backup plan. And also put my parents minds at ease since acting isn't exactly a solid, you-get-what-you-work-for career choice.
