So when it asks for income, do we just put an estimate of what we think we'll be making this year? Or what we made last year?
For expenses, I'm guessing we just estimate our yearly expenses (like bills, car payment, etc...)
And for Assets, I'm not sure what to put. I don't own a car or home. And I don't have a savings account. Does a checking account count as an asset? I might just put $0 for that.
Also, did you guys write anything at the bottom? Do we just say that we need our permit renewed so we can keep working/supporting ourselves?
The I-765WS asks for current annual income and current annual expenses. If you are working part-time and because of that you don't know how much you will make then put last year's income (make a note of that under explanation). If you work full-time (40/wk) or are a salaried employee then you put what you will make.
For the expenses, you should add up all your monthly expenses (car, housing, utilities, etc.).
And for assets, you should only list anything that you own and can immediately sell (car, home, etc.). Don't worry about savings or checking accounts.
Under explanation, you should only put an explanation of your current financial situation or your need for employment authorization. So, it would be on the lines of "I am a student seeking work authorization to support my academic advancement...."
