Yeah you know what, I'm a firm believer that having the right documents to be living in a country is part of the absolute minimum (clothes on your back, roof over your head, food and water, medical care) below which CPS gets involved and parents end up in jail for.

Instead we're all stuck suffering due to actions of profoundly stupid people who hoped that there'll be another amnesty and that'd bail us all out. It's like wasting all your money on lottery tickets and hoping that you'll win.

And hey Bingo, questioning the system you're forced to live in is probably the most un-NPC behavior you can exhibit.

I agree with you with questioning the system. That's healthy. I disagree with the whole "you owe your parents everything" because it is not true for everyone. Some of us had bad parents and owe them nothing.

Nonetheless, blaming yourself is not healthy.
Blaming your parents won't heal the pain.
Besides, you are setting the bar too high on your parents.
I don't know them but chances are: they probably did not graduate high school like most Dreamer parents...

Think about it...

Is it reasonable to expect a semi-literate peasant with a 6th grade education that doesn't speak English to know about navigating this extremely complicated immigration system while not falling for scams, setting up trust funds, saving up money for college for their children, knowing how the college system works in America, knowing how to invest in up-and-coming stocks, having basic financial management skills, having basic computer skills, etc?!

Probably not.

At this point, torturing yourself over what they did or failed to do causes mental pain and misery.

Seek therapy and try to live the best life you can live. That's what I can say.

This is why we need some Philosophy

All of these questions and angst were answered by the wise-old thinkers.

At least, with all his ills, Jordan Peterson will say never blame anyone for your condition and to accept full responsibility.

It is so easy and tempting to blame others. I do too, all the time.

But when you do that, you're giving up all your powers to them.

Change what you can change. Accept what you cannot.

Lol nobody asks to be born, and you don't get to pick your circumstances. Wouldn't everyone pick to be born in a wealthy family? Money and privileges don't mean much nowadays that the dollar is imploding. If you were born a citizen you'd likely whine about illegals, or some other triviality like what gender you're gonna be today.

Also I saw where someone was accusing people's parents of being illiterate and uneducated for not finishing HS? You do realize that public education has led the US down this dark path where people don't have the critical thinking skills to grasp what tariffs mean. Even college education doesn't do much to fix what people have dubbed: "The stupidity problem" You can educate yourself and you don't need the government's education or even a formal learning environment. They will never educate you to where you(the general you) can realize how hard they are screwing you over. Lol its to make obedient factory workers. Simply read a book. Think. Examine different points of view, but this one is hard for the indoctrinated / programmed. Aren't you curious as to why they behave the way they do?

The average person is simply stupid. Next time you go for a drive watch how many fuck-ups there are on the road driving up premiums for everyone else. But I mean stupid as in they will gleefully and happily carry out evil and even destroy themselves in full certainty that they are doing the right thing and are on the right side of things. Who wouldn't want to do [ ]? Evil carries the seeds of its own undoing, but stupidity is immune to criticism, why would they listen to the criticism? The other side is simply wrong, we are the right guys doing good! Even institutions of learning can't cure this and in some ways increase the problem. The only cure is several doses of hard reality. I refuse to talk about alternatives.

Dr.DJM prescribes 2 doses of reality taken twice daily once in the morning and once at night until delusions are cured.

My parents neither of them graduated HS, but they were both very literate. From these people, a farm worker and factory worker, not glamorous but not "peasantry" I came from. I will eternally and forever be grateful that they risked it all to come to the US.

Sure I do wish they had arrived with documentation, but they managed to make do despite overwhelming odds and in a lot of ways they embody the idealized American. One that doesn't quit, falter, or cower in the face of massive obstacles. One who fights hard against the cruel world to eek out a meager living and rise in this society. I see a lot of people squandering opportunities we DACA don't get. Oh well. Also, I don't have much to fear from the massive deportations. I wish people would turn this into a win-win, but separatists have so much hatred in their hearts that they'd rather set everything on fire than secure an easy win-win. Oh well. We'll see what happens. I could be wrong about everything lmao. Has quality of life gone up yet as it was promised day one? Are eggs cheaper? I went to the store $6 for a carton of eggs lol.

Only thing I can agree with you on is hating J. Benzodiazepene Peterson.

Though honestly, I'd rather stay here and send those two mouthbreathers back home.
