I'll be graduating from college this year with a BA. But before heading to graduate school, I would like to work for a year in NYC to save up some money. If I have to work under the table, I would do it, but (like all of us) I would loooooooove to get a legitimate job not simply because of the money but to build my resume. So does anyone know what our realistic prospects are like for getting a legitimate entry-level position with only a ITIN? Are there ways to get around showing a proof of residency? Has anyone come into contact with employers who are willing to look the other way if you are willing to take less money than market value? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.
