Hey guys,
I think California Dream Act 2010 was veto (Sept 21) by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think the veto can be over-rule by a majority 2/3 vote of the house and senate. Is there anything we can do??? Any thoughts??

This article contradicts the one placed by Hope 8. It's From the 22 September. One day after the one placed by Hope 8.

http://dailycensored.com/2010/09/22/...ly+Censored%29

the California Dream Act, which would give undocumented California high school students access to state- funded college and university financial aid programs, is sitting on Governor Schwarzenegger’s desk awaiting his signature. If Governor Schwarzenegger does not veto the California Dream Act on or before September 30, 2010, it will become law. Tens of thousands of undocumented California high school students and young adults are poised to finally fulfill their lifelong dreams to go to college, get a degree and then become U.S. citizens. Neither the Federal Dream Act nor the California Dream Act will become law without mass mobilizations. If our young but powerful student-led, immigrant rights/civil rights movement acts now, we can secure these historic victories for immigrant rights and public education. Time is of the essence.

The California Dream Act—two complementary bills, AB 1460 and AB 1413—are sitting on Governor Schwarzenegger’s desk right now. AB 1460 and AB 1413 would give undocumented students who attended school in California and received a diploma from a California high school, technical/vocational school or adult education program the same right as any other California student to apply for and receive financial aid from the state of California. We have between now and Sep 30.

i had found the redlands article too!! but then found other ones that said it was still on the governors desk, plus :

Given today’s action on the federal DREAM Act, with the lack of necessary votes, it is even more crucial for California’s governor to sign the California Dream Act before September 30th. SB 1460 was approved in the legislature. It will include Institutional aid at CSU and UC system and Community College Fee Waivers. A second bill, AB 1413 was also approved in the legislature and will include 19 million dollars for Cal-Grants. These bills combined, realize the dreams of thousands of young students.

Sorry guys..CA Dream act still on the governor's desk ...next time I'll so more research before posting anything...

LAST HIST. ACT. DATE: 09/08/2010
LAST HIST. ACTION : Enrolled. To Governor at 4 p.m.

which means...bill is enrolled when both houses of a legislative body have voted to approve it and it has been sent on to the executive branch (the President or a state governor) for signing.

sorry again...

I guess we have to wait until October 1 to be 100% sure it passed or failed.

(NOT OPTIMISTIC ABOUT IT'S CHANCES SO IF IT FAILS DON'T FEEL TO BAD)!!!
