Has anyone come across being told by fedEx that all packages addressed to DHS go to a security clearance destination first? I had received two RFEs for my AOS case from the local field office. my attorney mailed them to the field office two saturdays ago and they were delivered per FedEx tracking last monday. they were due this saturday and today. I had set up fedEx email alerts for the delivery as well and the alert showed the package being delivered to a completely different address than the field office. The address wasn't even a real address when I checked online.
Anyway after days of following up with FedEx to get an explanation of where my package was, I was told by a rep that all packages addressed to DHS or their umbrella organizations go through a security clearance at an offsite location first. so my package was delivered there. they have no way of telling me if my package was ever transferred from that offsite location to the local field office. FedEx just told me to contact USCIS. my case status online still says "Request for Evidence sent" as of june and hasn't been updated so far. Has anyone here come across such a situation? I'm wondering if I should keep waiting or resend the RFEs via USPS/UPS.
