As someone who started this thread, this completely went off the track. Here's what is possible: getting Dream Act passed. DAPA has been rescinded. Nobody, in either party, will try to secure anything for parents. Both House of Representatives and Senators who vote for Dream Act (if it ever goes on floor) will have to answer to their constituents - a lot of who are not the most tolerant / inclusive folks. The only good argument is that they need to show some "heart" to the people who were brought here as kids.
Now, instead of bickering among ourselves, why don't think about doing something actionable - as cynical and disheartened we might be. Don't waste your time or "cyber space" with futile arguments.
I was hoping to get some people together here and reach out to all Senators (at least Democrats), just to raise more awareness. If you guys, I can drive the effort. If not, save yourself some time and effort, and ride wherever the tide takes you. Don't complaint.
According to a latest news article, DHS Secretary Kelly huddled with Hispanic Caucus to inform (read: confirm) that Trump administration may not defend DACA if it goes to court, which it inevitably will. It is up to Jeff Sessions to protect DACA, which means it's dead already.
