I was fortunate enough to get daca right after graduating from college and work but that doesn't mean I never struggled emotionally or mentally. You'd think as someone who makes 100k+ and a visa over stay (marriage to us citizen would get me a green card), I'd feel great about myself but that's not true. No matter where we are in life, I think growing up undocumented had some type of consequence. I've visited this forum for informations and advises for past 4 years but never actually registered (I might have long long time ago but don't remember what my id waz) had to sign up reading this post and what some folks were saying about being "weak" and "whiney".

I'm not gonna say that everything will work out for the best because since 2008 (when we Senate voted for dream act), it's been a political let down. But what I can tell you is that you have to keep on trying, no matter what life throws at you. You said you have family, if you won't do it for yourself, do it for your love ones.

When I landed a really cool job at a fortune 100 company as an engineer after my masters, I was so excited. Starting salary of 90k in Houston plus 25k in signing bonus (stock) sounded like dream come true after working cash jobs throughout college. Unfortunately, the offer was taken back due to not being able to get a twic card. Instead I've took a job at a smaller consulting firm and worked my way up to where I'm at now. Do fortune 100 head hunters contact me often? Of course, they're offering salaries which is tax bracket above, but I still won't take them due to my status.

Well I guess my story side tracked a little but I just wanted to let you know that if you never give up, there might be an opening for an opportunity that comes up. If you stop trying, then you may not even be able to seize that opportunity. Stay strong and keep working hard, even when things look bad.

And for those of you bashing on the guy, I hope you understand that you're not the greatest turnout among dacas. Someone can always talk down on you too because you bring down the "standard" of daca recipients. Be more sympathetic as it may seem like we are all going through the same situation, but that's never the case.

Cheers all.
Thank you for the encouraging words

TexasAg08 those were very encouraging words. And to all that have been saying very rude comments, as dreamers you shouldn't be putting people down. Everyone have their struggles and we need to be more sympathetic towards one another and be united.

Also @Undocumented Immigrant, you should look into seeing if you qualified for 245i. If so you can get a sponsor from another employer and proceed with the AOS. The priority dates a relatively current now so there is not much delays so you have a shot!! Dont give up and keep fighting through this If you ever need any help feel free to PM me.

Lets stand together and not be divided.

Thank you ayran123. I'm actually considering talking to a immigration attorney and see what he might do to help me out.

The lawyer will help you out by emptying out your savings.

Investigate online and see if what can be done. Some lawyers are scum.

Just wanted to shed some light on my EB3 experience.

Your employer can try to get an EB3 or EB2 for you. My employer is doing the same and I just got my PERM approved last week, then the I140 will most likely get approved within 6 months. That being said, an EB2/3 will get you nowhere if you have no immediate relative that is a USC, this is so you can AOS in the US. Since I can't do that, it means I have to go through consular processing and will trigger the 10 year ban. I don't have any kids and I am not married to a USC, so my only option is to apply for a provisional waiver through my parents. This is a long shot and there's possibly 5% chance I will be able to pull it off, but hey, never hurts to try.

Good luck!
