I know too many people who would pay almost anything just to hear a parents voice again. But it doesn't work that way. If you have an incredibly close bond with your family in general, you'll only have to settle for the regret of not having spent more time with them. No refunds.

But I suspect you're right that a lot won't make the choice to leave, mostly if they have kids of their own or a career that has momentum. Their duty would be to their own kids.

The hellscape that DACA recipients have to tangle with is a tragedy.
We have a challenging and troubled life through no fault of our own. And the main excuse they use to justify this is the bank robber giving the loot to their kids. However, this is not accurate.

After consulting "the oracle"

DACAs had no say in the circumstances they find themselves in and in the vast majority of cases grew up in the US with deep community ties. A general truth of western law is that you don't push the crimes of the parents onto the children. As in your father did a crime of stealing bread, you are not guilty of the same. In this case the horse has left the barn, deportations or not, its doing harm to people that the vast majority would consider American if not for their birth circumstances.

In this case the problem is simple: Do they want to keep the DACAs they already spent the time and resources to train, educate, and have incredible perseverance to competitor countries to grow their economies and reduce American competitiveness? Or do they want to keep what they've already paid for and continue to win.
