What is the status of the Dream Act

Can anyone tell me the current status of the Dream Act. I'm thinking of starting an advocacy club for the Dream Act at my high school, but if the act isn't being lobbied for right now then I'm not sure if I would be making any difference.

it's one the senate no vote on it "suppose" to pass this year who knows...well anything u can do will make a difference...support each other..and advocate for what u believe in....as a college student i say do it...doesn't hurt....u can come out of it with leader skills.....

In the Senate, the Dream Act is currently in committee, specifically the Senate Judiciary Immigration Subcommittee chaired by Charles Schumer. Once it is released, the Senate will be able to vote on it.

You should definitely start the club, regardless of where the bill is at right now. It will only help raise awareness.

its in a file collecting dust.

The current status of the DREAM Act is that it's alive and well, but we as a group have chosen to put it to rest to collect dust.
