Anyone from Indiana??

Is anyone here from Indiana and has already applied for their license? I want to know if it's possible to obtain a license here and if so how long it is valid for. Also do we get any help with tuition here?

I'm not from Indiana, but I think I can answer your question. Just like any state you would have to prove Identity, State Residency, Prove Legal Presence, and have a SSN. For Indiana, you would need two proofs of state residency (e.g A bill with your name/Bank statement/pay stub). You may use your DACA Approval letter and/or EAD to prove Legal Presence, and have a Social Security card. The DL will be valid until the expiration of the EAD. As for instate tuition, they allow USC or LPRs instate tuition, but ultimately that is under the discretion of the college so I would speak with them.

I'm from Indiana. You need your EAD, SSN card, and two proofs of residency. Your EAD will act as both proof of identity and proof of legal status.

Since Indiana is REAL ID-compliant, your driver's license will last as long as your EAD.

I'm from indiana !!! I got my learners permit first. You need to hold that for 6 months then you take your driving exam and get your official license

yes you can get a DL, I got one! and I am from Indy. What Alex said is true, you need to get a permit, but I went to a local driving school to learn to drive (since my HS permit expired ages ago lol), and they gave me a permit after passing all the tests from there, and that permit was valid at the DMV to get a DL yay!!
