Would this hurt any hopes for DREAM later on?

So, all these states are passing its own version of the DREAM Act, or at least introducing them. Some, from what i heard, would allow either access to public education funds, or even licenses? I don't really know. THE POINT IS: If states pass little versions of the DREAM, will this hurt the chances of a real DREAM or something similar from passing in Congress? Remember, it'd be good for the states to help us out, BUT the states cannot legalize anybody. Citizenship is up to the federal government, so we're screwed for the next 2 years.
And also, Obama's Administration plans to deport approx ~500,000 people this year, we better brace ourselves for the worst. |
