I dont think legalization is in our immediate future but I do think the program will be left alone for CURRENT AND RENEWALS only. I think the 5th circuit wont completely scrap the program and will leave it to current beneficiaries.

But I could be dead wrong in the end... who knows.
I can relate to feeling anxious at times, then I remind myself that in his first term, he campaigned on killing DACA and made us a focal point. While this time around, he hasn't spoken negatively about us in his campaign and even mentioned he's open to making a deal in a recent interview.

Since this is his last term and he has nothing to lose, he could have said much worse. But I do agree with you, we can only stay positive, and most importantly out of trouble.

I agree with all you said except about Democrats making gains in the next election.. I hope they never make gains ever again. I hope they stay in the minority for a long time. In regards to us, they seem to only want to do something when they are in the minority and when we are in dire straits. When they're in the majority, they dgaf. I honestly don't trust them. Id rather go down with the ship and self deport than them taking power again.

I dont trust both Congressional Republicans and Democrats, but I think Trump is gonna work something out for us.

I have been feeling disappointed with them for quite some time. When Chuck Schumer made the statement "Dreamers can't occupy the stage," it became clear to me that we were not going to be a priority for them. It seems that they only reach out to us during election season.

I do agree that having them in the majority doesn't necessarily mean they are on our side. The main reason I believe they will regain control of the House in two years is due to the division within the Republican Party in Congress. Americans are likely to notice this and may seek a change.

They will deal with DACA until it gets executed by SCOTUS or when they present the inevitable Immigration Reform which could be before the mid terms. i'll call it right now, no way Republicans win majority in the mid terms, Democrat President is also coming right after Trump AGAIN.

not only that, everyone forgets that Trump is going to be blocked left and right by courts in everything he does AGAIN.

all so predictable at this point.

Nah, man. Woke is dead. America is back. If Trump atleast does 50% of the things he promised, Democrats will never win again for a generation. If DACA'ers get the fix, it will truly be the Golden Age of America.

With 70 votes in, enough Democrats have already joined Republicans in support of cloture that the bill will become law — in a form harsher than when first introduced.

I'm a doctor working in nyc with DACA and no other path to legal status. What are my chances with all this going on

Big chance. I wouldn't be worried, my friend.

IT’S OFFICIAL: Democrats have once again betrayed us and abandoned our cause.

The Laken Riley act just passed the procedural process with 61 votes in favor and only 35 against. If this doesn't make it crystal clear that the Democrats are not on our side, then I don't know what will.

The bill is expected to pass next week with significant support from Democrats, providing President Trump with a victory on immigration in his first week in office.

Keep in mind that NO DACA amendment was added to this bill. So we can potentially be affected by this once it passes.
