Not crazy. Well informed, actually. At worst, the approved I-130 will just sit there until I am able to clear my EWI if possible. I also plan on applying for the waiver if I decide to leave to adjust abroad.

I would just clear my EWI first since your pretty much giving info to the uscis that you’re here with EWI but that’s just me. Good luck on your journey.

They already had that information from my DACA application/renewals.

Technically, you are supposed to do that, but there are 2 other options to consider. However, they are judge dependent!

This thread has been about how each person may transition to AOS from DACA, not how they are "crazy" because of a certain action they took.

Technically, the action you took was solid. I wouldn't have done it any other way as well. The I-130 is huge step in the process of adjusting through the family categories.

It's always better to do both 130 and 485 before USCIS because a judge has discretion to deny one or both applications based on their assessment of your credibility, and USCIS is a "friendlier" agency.

I didn’t mean in that way more like you have “balls”, I also didn’t know you can have an I-130 sitting on their desk until your EWI was fixed. I thought once you file you would have to go thru the whole process of AOS. Excuse my misunderstanding of the whole process.

I promised myself that I wouldn't do this after finally sending my AOS application. It was received and signed for on Monday 3/5/17 about 3pm from USPS . How soon should i expect a notice that they received and accepted it. I also sent a g1145 to be notified by text or email of an accepted application. My only experiences with being notified by uscis is from filing advance parole and answering RFE. I always get a email notice like tge next day after they received and accepted it. I know I'm being paranoid because it's only been 2 days, I just want to know it's been accepted. How long do they usually take to send email or text notifications that they have accepted your application. TIA for responding.

I think you meant 2018. Mine took about a week. Just chill bro, you a a long road ahead. Its been 7 months since I submitted mine
