If you're like me and have taken a driver's ed course in high school, you probably got a certificate showing your completion of the traffic law education and road rules test. However, that only seems to have been valid for one year. So, kinda sucks that we have to do all this stuff over again.

If however you want an immediate form of identification upon receiving your work permits, you can obtain a Florida ID card which should satisfy all your identification needs in lieu of a driver's license for the time being.

I thought the learner's license is only for those who are under 18. See "Graduated License - Under Age 18."

I wish we didn't have to retake that 4 hour substance abuse program. That's a waste of money.

I have another question. How does the Florida DMV handle someone already having a selective service number before having a license?

All this driver's license and car talk is really presumptuous on our part. We have yet to receive anything. Work authorization first and foremost.
