I'm doing my OPI in probably couple of weeks and on the home stretch, practicing my native tongue like a fool right now.
Good luck brotha, I hated my OPI, at first I thought I was going to fail since I keep saying numbers in English (make sure you can count up to 50+), then there was a point when I said F*** it and made the conversation way too political and complicated. I think that amazed the OPI agent.

Tbh it would be very difficult to pass OPI without native understanding of the language. But who knows ?!

Aww that's a shame. I wanted to "semper fi" and be a devil dog or a Corpsman and be a squid/devil doc lol.

Oh well. It would still be awesome to serve whichever branch I can get into. (:

Good luck bud, finally got my OPI date scheduled for first week of April. Studying my balls off right now, I think my DACA renewal needs to get filed during that week also, hectic times.

Hello guys. This is the first I'm learning about the MAVNI. I did a quick google search and it stated that you get citizenship after Basic Combat Training (BCT), is that correct?

I often felt an urge to enlist, but was under the assumption we were not eligible to do so. I have a good job that I'd have to leave, but there is just something behind the patriotism of enlisting and being shipped off in the name of US interest that seems to call my name. An added perk of citizenship isn't bad either.

Time to purchase a RosettaStone and learn a new language! How intense are their proficiency tests?
