you should apply, forgot with AB it is called but i dont think its like welfare or public assistance cause we pay into it as Cali taxpayers and there the california assembly appropriates funds for it and they base it on your annual income.

its gives us status for 3 years. its not LPR but more of conditional status, think of it as like a refugee status, ppp, tps. etc

it does grant us status to travel and apply for fafsa and other shit for 3 years. and i believe congress will just keep kicking the can down the road and renew it every 3 years. i hope they pass CIR within those 3 years or just pass a permanent solution.

im willing to bet they get to a compromise and just legalize us through a watered down dream act tho.

Newhouse said in a press release “Our own communities in Central Washington are a testament to the contributions of immigrants to the fabric of American society. It is the sole responsibility of Congress to write laws that provide a humane solution to our broken immigration system. Rather than affording protection, President Obama’s unconstitutional Executive Order left families across this country in legal limbo. I am proud to join my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to protect children brought here through no fault of their own. These children and young adults deserve stability here in the U.S. while Congress comes together on long term immigration reform to provide a permanent solution for them, secure our borders, and build a reasonable and accessible immigration system going forward.”

Even republicans who thought daca was unconstitutional are supporting the bridge act . Some of them voted against the dream act in the past.

The bill that was introduced as the. Bridge act could evolve into something else by the time all the committees are done with it. For our benefit, I hope it stays the way it was introduced. It seems to have broad appeal by both parties.

this... by the time it gets through committee between the House and the Senate there will be new shit added or amended to it. either more enforcement and or legalization etc.

im willing to bet the Senate will push for legalization, like a watered down Dream Act... No USC, just LPR.

and yes there will be people who wont support it, people like: Steve King, Ted Cruz, Senssenbrenner, Bannon, Miller etc. but i believe majority of the Congress supports us, even Trump does.
