With the recent prosecutorial discretion announcement, a few realizations just jumped on me.
If I'm 17, a senior in high school, and about to apply for colleges, can I still qualify to stop my deportation?
Or should I drop out and get my GED right now?
Or simply wait until I graduate and hope the plan would still be in place?
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
And congratulations for the people eligible =)
You guys deserve it
If you're about to graduate, there's no reason to stop. Getting your education should be paramount if it's at all possible, regardless of other considerations. Plus, if you're about to apply to colleges, having a high school diploma will give you a much better chance of getting private scholarships than a GED. Keep going. Do well. The rest will take care of itself in the long run.
