President Trump cannot and will not capitulate on his promise to secure the border. That includes walls and physical barriers where appropriate.

Shutdown continues, no end in sight.

From colleague Bree Tracey. Senate Apps Cmte Chair Shelby: The Democrats are going to have to not be against everything. They are going to have to be for something.

Durbin on WH meeting: “Mitch McConnell didn’t say a word at the meeting. Not a word, come to think of it, I don’t think McCarthy did either.”

Let's hope that the Supreme court does not take the DACA case.
Without hearing the case, you have 100% of no resolution, status quto.

This isn't a bad news. Durbin is open. Let's get us a conditional GC. Or even a guess worker program is fine by me if we can travel.

I think something can still be done because Trump is not going to back down. Fingers crossed.

Keep in mind, if GOP continues to offer DACA patch and Dems reject, I think this kind of makes Dems look bad because Trump is only asking for $ 5 billion.

Pence pretty handily shot down the Graham effort at a deal that would pair wall $ with legal status for DACA, TPS recipients, saying POTUS has been clear he wants to wait until Supreme Court sustains his decision to end DACA to address that & other issues

Thanks man. Forget that he wants more. Fuck...this is interesting.

I still think there will be a breakthrough, and it will depend on tomorrow's news.
