I'm glad you were correct about the supreme court!

But I also remember you telling us we would have GC by now.

I am so relieved! This means that they "might" take it next year and then rule sometime in June 2020. Everybody would have been able to renew one more time by then.

This gives more leverage to the Democrats if Trump wants to make a deal on the wall. Trump wanted to use us for his four pillars, but he might need to end up using us for his wall. I still believe that he will declare national emergency, which will get challenged in the courts right away. However, that will at least let him save face and not cut any deals with the democrats.

No news on DACA today from the Supreme Court — the next day they could grant cert (take the case) is Monday.

Three options, I believe.

1.) Accept the Case
2.) Not Accept the Case (which could still allow it to be taken up next term)
3.) Decline the Case (won't be taken up in this term or in any term after)

Question is, does POTUS have to wait for the Supreme Court, or can he end DACA as long as he follows the appropriate rules?

Inaction on DACA today could suggest that even if the court does agree to hear it, the court might put it off until next term. Or of course the court could turn it down completely, as soon as Monday.
