Hey guys, i must say i always ask questions like this lol but i should also tell you guys that i went from san antonio all the way to miami and no checkpoints so yay! i was very relieved and it was such a pretty drive as well.
now i want to go for a weekend to the beach from san antonio to corpus...ive done the trip from houston to corpus but since its another route i wanted to know if yall know if theres any checkpoints??
also im flying from san antonio to tampa this summer. i have a valid texas id. do you think theyre asking for social security cards or anything like that? ive flown from vegas to san antono before and i was super nervous but the guy barely checked my id...so any suggestions?
I live in San Antonio too and I've gone to Corpus many times with no check points, I wouldn't worry about it.
I have a valid Texas ID too and I've flown many places domestically with no problems at all. You should be fine, if they take you in separately, they cavity search at random but you shouldn't get nervous about it at all.

Thank you so much for replying. gave me piece of mind really.
i know what you mean about taking you in separate... i actually had gotten my ticket late, from vegas to san antonio and i guess they randomly pick you to go to through the gun powder machine and whatnot and i was so nervous...but everything turned out pretty good..the lady who checked me was very nice and the guy that told me about going into a separate line assured me nothing was wrong just the airline did random searches. but yeah i was freaking out...so hopefully this time i don't get pulled to the side lol
Wow. That sounds freaking scary!! I'm glad I read this, or else I'd be freaking out if that happened to me. I haven't flown since I was like 8 and I am already afraid of even being on a plane. So I'm glad to hear that they do that.. and that you've gone through it without being asked of your status.
I'm nervous about flying next month.. but not enough to not go see my family.
