Let me start by saying that I am so glad I found this site. Reading and many times relating to many of these stories, gives me the strength to strive for the best and never give up.
Now, I am a community college student in Texas and I am getting ready to apply for some of the 4-year institution here in the state. I have met all my engineering prerequisites and despite working 40/hrs a week and taking 15+ hours a semester my GPA stands at a 3.5 (maybe higher after this semester’s grades). My top choices are UT-Austin and A&M, I am also applying to U. Houston and Texas Tech, my question is should I put how many hrs a week I worked during all this time or should I leave that portion of the application blank?
I would. That information information is for acceptance criteria to separate you from the crowd and perhaps for scholarships...on that note A&M and UT give out more scholarships than UH...i don't know anything about Tech. Good luck, let me know if you have any questions about UT engineering.
