You need a passport to visit Canada? I thought the PR Card was enough?

You need a passport (and possibly eTA) if you fly into Canada. A PR card is enough for land/sea crossings.

Thanks, did Canada immigration or US CBP ask for a Passport? Im considering it just to travel outside for the first time in 15+ yrs, until i get a passport. Although Canada doesn't seem that special either

Nope, for land crossings you only need the permanent resident card. That goes for entering Canada and returning to the US.

If you're flying, you need a passport.

Hello my fellow dreamers, It's been a long road but last week on March 13th at 6:31pm I became a Naturalized Citizen of the United States of America. From DACA to Citizen, I still can't belive it. It was a 25year journey. I never thought in a million years this would happen. I am so gratful for my loving wife of 13 years that didnt turn her back on me when she found out my sitituaion. I even made the local news..LOL When I walked out the courtroom the first thing I did was register to vote. My voice will finally be heard. Keep pushing my fellow DREAMERS. Stay positive and never ever give up hope.
