My country has been added to the list of countries that can be granted TPS. Can I apply for both? Is that even possible? I just sent a renewal for DACA too lol. I am just saying if anything goes down with DACA, I would have TPS too.

I wonder if TPS actually grants legal status that will allow you to avoid the 10-year ban when trying to adjust via other means.

I believe TPS would take precedence because it is a concrete lawful status, as opposed to DACA that's ultimately regulatory fuckery, and one of the requirements for DACA is that you're out of status. Also the thing about TPS is that even if it does get eventually rescinded they'll just put you into DED which is basically slight better deferred action that probably will never go away, Liberia has been in it since 2007.

I mean you can file for both but I'm not sure if both can be approved as I noted above.

In either of your cases, if the TPS were to be rescinded and then DED were to be rescinded, you could late renew for DACA assuming that'd be still standing at that point.

tl;dr: You can file for both. I'm not sure if you can get both or just TPS. TPS is a better deal than DACA.

I plan on renewing my DACA again, applying for TPS and also adjusting status since I'm getting married next month. Better safe than sorry. Also in the tps instructions it says you can have TPS and other cases at the same time, i remember reading something like that.

I’ve been told you can’t have both, I am also from a tps eligible country. The process would be forfeiting your daca, and then applying for tps. Feel free to correct me, but my source was an immigration lawyer.
