I believe that Elon Musk should persuade President Trump that individuals on DACA who purchase a Tesla should be granted a path to a green card. It would be a mutually beneficial trade for both parties as they are both businessmen.

I am really interested in purchasing a Tesla, but the current uncertainty surrounding DACA is making me hesitant. It would be great to see some positive changes in this area.

I think electric cars make people look effeminate. Do not like them, and Tesla build quality is low. Especially, when mazda makes better higher quality electric and gasoline cars. Most of Tesla stock price is just Elon hype.

Look at their electric sedan. China only for now.

CX-90 is better than the cybertruck. https://www.mazdausa.com/vehicles/cx-90-phev

Japan makes the best cars hands down. Beats the pants off anything made by Americans. If they made a Ford F150 clone but with actual quality they'd kill off the entire American auto industry. They simply make them better. Even nissan is better.

Let's put competition aside for now, as that's a discussion for another time. We're just thinking, since Tesla is facing some challenges and President Trump offered $5 million for citizenship, why not consider doing something similar for dreamers? Maybe a deal where buying a Tesla could also help you get a green card.

This helps out his friend Elon and ourselves as well. Just a thought!

Charging people like us, who have already been vetted including during the Trump administration, a regularization fee would probably be the most expedient and judicious use of limited resources.

I own another brand BEV and a gas guzzling pick up truck. I enjoy them both. The electric is great for short trips and summer driving. The truck is great for the winter driving, towing crap, going camping. It’s great to be able to use the best “tool” for the job.

I would NEVER get a Tesla. They seem like such cheap piece of shit “cars”. From the panel gaps, body fit issues to the annoying iPad in the middle of the dash design with everything cheap. Super expensive parts when you need to repair and long wait for service if you cannot get it fixed yourself. The cybertruck is the ugliest thing on four wheels. It looks like a giant trash bin at a multi-family condo complex.

I second the opinion that Jap cars are the best - especially Toyota. I put over 300k miles on my last Toyota and all I ever did to it through the entire time I owned it was change the oil.

I only buy Toyota and Lexus, currently I own a 3rd gen 2023 Tacoma, no problems. Will run till 1 million miles but would def. consider a Cybertruck though for a green card. Lol.

Rakins know the truth about the CyberTruck.

With that said,

Finally, I think the Tariffs on foreign auto makers are going to do incredible damage to American manufacturers because Honda, and Toyota both manufacture some of their most important vehicle lines inside the US. Even the beloved F-150, while made in the US, is made from only 32% parts from the US OR Canada. I think its mainly just to stay in the states.

Unfortunately, its a global supply chain and Mexico and other foreign manufacturers are at the heart of it and the costs will pass strait down to the consumer that is already stretched thin buying on credit for insane terms and lengths.

That’d be awesome, but I really doubt buying a Tesla will change DACA rules. Maybe a better move is to back DACA advocacy groups, write to your local reps, and keep pushing for real reform.
