I'm telling you, that was all I was asked. Nothing specific about the 245i.

When did you enter the US?
In 1995.
Were you inspected?
Yes.
*Opens up medical form*
Why do you have a NYS ID if you live in Jersey?
I haven't changed my ID since I moved to Jersey to go to school.
*I showed him my Princeton University letter of enrollment and school ID*
How did your pop get a greencard?
He was married to a US citizen for several years.
Have you left the states since then?
Not at all. I have a meticulous set of school records to prove it.

Then he proceeded to ask me all the YES/NO questions. Took my Princeton letter of enrollment and asked if he can keep it. Then said, "if there's a visa available this afternoon, I will approve it." We were out in like 10 minutes, although it felt like 5 minutes. He didn't even ask to see any original documents. On my drive back, after 45 minutes I got the "On September 20, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC******" email. I'm a legal permanent resident!!!!AHHHHHH!!!!! I hope I get my green card soon. Oh and my birthday is tomorrow! Off to celebrate and get wasted! Wishing everyone a smooth process as well.
Congratulations!

My Expedite Experience(based on i-765 app via AOS Immediate Family Member)

My employment is ending this Friday due to my DACA EAD expiring 9/25. I asked for unpaid leave of absence but they were unable to grant it. I submitted my AOS EAD on 08/05, almost 2 months ago. Did biometrics a week later, but no updates since. Finally got on the phone yesterday, talked to a customer service rep and explained the situation. He clarified the expedite requirements such as being able to provide proof of why you need an expedite processed. I went ahead and did so under financial hardship. He gave me a referral ID # and told me to hang tight for the next 5 days, he had taken my e-mail earlier and told me I would get an e-mail within the 5 days, maybe longer if they are backed up.

Among other things he also mentioned DACA renewals are not allowed to expedite

Anyway, this morning I got an e-mail from USCIS requesting evidence of hardship(loss of job)(woohoo!). I got my employer to provide a letter showing I would have to terminate employment this week without an approved permit. The e-mail indicated for me to fax the documents, and reference an ATTN to reference code and the referral ID from the expedite request. I just faxed it all over and now just have to wait!

Now what I did not say is how my dumb ass DELETED the e-mail on my phone by accidentally swiping left on my iPhone TWICE. I was just waking up, not realizing what I did. The first swipe was to forward the e-mail to my job's HR department, but swiped too fast and sent the e-mail to trash. Then I went to trash to try and MOVE it back to Inbox, and BAM! Deleted from trash.

Lets just say after a much needed freak out, I gave USCIS a call. The first response service rep transferred me to the immigration officer line which was backed up and was automated in telling me I would get a call back in 138 minutes. So I wait, I get the call and get put on hold. The terrible hold music lasts for about 2 minutes then I hear a *CLICK*...the call was dropped.

Proceed to another freak out.

Call again, transferred to the immigration officer again, and was placed in a 108 minute queue. This time got a call around 2 hours later and put on hold for about 3 minutes. Finally I got an answer and the officer was able to pull up the e-mail I deleted and gave me the information to send the documents.

Also, faxing sucks.

For those of you who have been able to AOS, I have a question.

I EWI in 1999. Got DACA in 2012. AP in 2014. Currently on DACA 'til 2018. When it comes to the interview, have you been asked and pressed on your way of entry? I literally crawled/duck down the immigration officers counter and into the US. I know that being a stowaway disqualifies you from AOS. So my question is in any of your cases has the method of entry been an issue?

I was asked about my way of entry. Luckily I applied for 245i, so that it didn't matter if I had entered without inspection or inspected at an airport. Therefore it was not an issue for me.
