I tried looking to see if a similar post to this had been posted but could not find one.

I got caught driving without a license when i was 17 in California, now 25...that's the only trouble i've ever had with the police. I went to juvenile court and paid a fine...that's a misdemeanor right? is that enough to get my application rejected? I read that if my application gets rejected cuss of criminal purposes then not only will my application be rejected, but i will also be deported.

Did you read the guidelines they released? I don't understand why people won't spend some time reading through the guidelines of something that will potentially benefit them.

A minor traffic offense will not be considered a misdemeanor for purposes of this process. However, your entire offense history can be considered along with other facts to determine whether, under the totality of the circumstances, you warrant an exercise of prosecutorial discretion.

Driving without a license is a minor traffic offense, it isn't criminal. Also, It happened when you were minor, now your 25, so I think it's off your record by now

We've been dealing with repeated questions and the updated guideline is on the very first page of the Forum under the News section. We tend to come off as rude (I apologize in advance if I do come across as rude) but it's for your own good to read the guideline and understand what's going on.

EXACTLY! we sound like broken records repeating ourself over and over, when this can be avoided if people would just take 10 mins and read the info that is already out there.
