You should be okay re-sending the package they sent back, along with the missing documents.

Just send the same package back with letter saying you have both receipts this time.

Can we do the medical exam in the U.S, or do we have to do it in our home country?

If you’re adjusting in the U.S, you’ll do the exam with a registered civil surgeon which you can find using the USCIS website. If you’re getting an immigrant visa abroad, they usually have a doctor at/near the consulate which you’d do the medical exam with

Technically, you can do the exam wherever but you’d want to do one with a date closest to your interview (and usually closer to where the interview is held whether the consulate or USCIS).

As far as I know, immigrants going through consular proceedings MUST have a medical exam done in their home countries

Personally, I plan on going to the doctor here in the US for a regular check up and to make sure my immunization record up to date. But, I know there will be another medical exam done in my home country.

Beneficiary has to do the medical and police report in their "home" country. Also make sure you check the schedule for your "home" country's approved medical facilities; some wont give you a report back quickly. Mine took two whole weeks. Good luck!

Denials of U.S. immigrant visas skyrocket after little-heralded rule change

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...rce=reddit.com

There has been a huge spike of visa denial for people with an approved waiver. Before you leave the country, make sure you have good proof that you will not become a "public charge" in the U.S.

The man in the article has an approved I-601A but was denied a visa because the officer thinks he will be a drain on the system and now he is stuck in Mexico. He has 5 children on Medicaid and only can show a promise of an $18/hr job once he returns to the U.S.

Well, damn... that is scary!

Another reason I should've gotten AP when I had the chance. *bangs head on desk*

Why isn't the NVC letting the applicants know their sponsor don't make enough? NVC should be telling the applicant, "dude, your sponsor doesn't make enough money to support alone, if it comes to it. I'm not gonna schedule an appointment for you until your sponsor submits a form showing they have funds to support you."

If the NVC is okay with the numbers on the AOS form, embassy should not be pulling this crap.
