Congrats. Things are going faster in Nebraska. I'm in Potomac so it might take awhile.

Hey MIdreamer,

Did you have to get a police record from Mexico to close your case at the NVC. My lawyer is asking for it, but I don't think i need it because i wasn't there before turning 18.

What do you mean to close my case at NVC? A police record is not needed until the interview. Also, I'm actually from China.

Trac3rt, you should get it. You can send a letter explaining you'll get the certificate when you go to Mexico if you don't have anyone to get it for you. I left Venezuela way before I turned 18 and they asked me for it.

And Midreamer, please let us know how the process goes for you. My fiance was born in China and we are gonna start his paperwork as soon as we get married.

Oh, sorry for the confusion!

I hope everything is progressing well on your end, by the way.

Thanks! Yeah, that is what I was planning on; I don't have anyone in Mexico who can get it on my behalf, but lawyer wants me to get it now so they can send it to the NVC.

Just waiting for my DS260 to be approved then schedule my interview in Hong Kong which is concerning given the chaos in the city right now.

I wonder if there is a way for me to do the interview in a different city?
