Cool. Thanks for the confirmation. Are you in CA? I am. Just wondering if CA cases get forwarded there...

I just received my biometrics appointment letter yesterday. My appointment is Feb 8, 2017. Do you remember how long it took to receive your new EAD card/interview after completing biometrics?

You call and when you get the first tier rep on the line, tell them you would like to expedite. They will read out a list of categories that are eligible for expedites. I chose financial hardship. They submitted the expedite, and the next morning I got an e-mail with the expedite case # and instructions to fax them proof of needing an expedite. This is where thing went a bit wrong for me, lets just say I swiped left a couple times on my iPhone by accident trying to forward the damn e-mail to another e-mail address and ended up deleting it permanently. Spent 6 hours trying to get a second tier rep on the line(you have to get placed in a queue at which point you hang up and you get a call between an hour or two later...mine happened to disconnect when I got the call back...)

Anyway, after speaking with the rep, he gave me the instructions for sending the fax to the correct phone number. I had to fax a letter from my employer saying I had a pending job offer. After 5 days, my case got approved. The worst wait however, was the card production. Had to wait like 2 weeks for the card to arrive, which is what my employer needs.

Anyway, just call and ask for an expedite. Its a very simple process, and don't hesitate to ask questions. Remember that you are paying for this service and their job is to serve you and answer your questions. Just be courteous and kind.

Dug through my posts to find my timeline, hope it helps to show how the expedite worked
For comparison below is my timeline. Note that my case status did not show the card went into production at all, and when I called about it the rep also said he did not see it go into production yet on his side, however, 5 days later on the 25th I got an update saying the card had been mailed to my address on the 24th and gave me a tracking #. Looks like the system is just massively delayed in general, or just not being updated correctly but everything behind the scenes seems to be running regardless.

10/24/2016

We mailed your new card to the address you gave us.

10/20/2016

*I call USCIS and talk to a tier 1 officer to look into why my card has not gone into production. The rep said "i see your card has not yet gone into production, I will open a case to have the team responsible start production on your card"

As of October 20, 2016, your request to have your Employment Authorization Document resent to you, referral number T1EXXXMSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

10/03/2016

We approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization .

09/28/2016

On September 28, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1EXXXMSC, was completed.

09/28/2016

On September 28, 2016, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1EXXXMSC.

09/26/2016

On September 26, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1EXXXMSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

09/21/2016

*I called and spoke to a tier 2 officer to expedite my case. It had been pending 59 days or so fyi.*

On September 21, 2016, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1EXXXMSC.

08/05/2016

We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization .

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share my experience with the AOS process. Currently at "my new card is being produced" which is the end of the process. A little background: arrived EWI from Mexico when I was a baby, went to college when Obama passed the DACA program, did AP for educational purposes in France to clear EWI, got married to my best friend after graduating, waited three months to collect evidence, and then sent in the ~70 page AOS packet. Our case was textbook so we self-filed.

Our Packet Layout:
- G-1145
- Two Separate Checks: I-130 & I-485
- I-130
+ Passport photos for each of us
+ I-130 Application
+ G-325A for each of us
+ US birth certificate, US passport pages
+ Marriage Certificate
+ Nature & Evolution of Relationship letter
+ Joint Lease Agreement, joint utility bills, joint bank statements, pictures, love letters, etc

- I-485
+ Passport photos for me
+ I-485 Application
+ G-325A for me
+ Foreign & Translated Birth Certificate
+ I-94 Document, I-512L Advance Parole Document, MX passport pages
+ DACA letter
+ I-693 Medical Examination in a sealed envelope
+ I-864EZ Affidavit of Support
+ 2015 W-2, 2015 1040
+ Letter from employer showing income

Note: Decided to not apply for the temporary work permit (I-765) because my DACA wasn't set to expire until much later and I didn't want to submit another thing I could potentially make a mistake on.

Timeline:
Mid August - Application Received
Day 11 - Biometrics Interview Scheduled
Day 27 - Biometrics Interview
Day 133 - Initial Interview Scheduled
Day 168 - Initial Interview + Approval!

Note: The city I am in has really long wait times at the local field offices so expect faster turnaround times.

The interview was honestly not what we were expecting. We spent more time waiting for our names to be called. The officer was polite and seemed to already have a decision in mind when we walked in. We were asked very basic questions like birthdays and whether we met each other's families. Our interview was in the afternoon and we were in and out in about 10 minutes. We did come prepared with new evidence and the only thing the officer asked for was the most recent joint bank statements. It was a little ambiguous if we were approved or not during the interview but the officer did give the whole temporary renew in 2 years speech which I assume is the definitive yes. Checked the USCIS case status site later that day and found the "my new card is being produced"!

Thank you everyone that has contributed on these forums. This place has educated me on my own situation and has helped me navigate to a way out. Even though DACA doesn't apply to me anymore, I still check this place daily for news and updates. Best of luck everyone.

Yeah I'm in Sacramento, CA. Well my first DACA was sent to a WAC and my 1 renewal was sent to a LIN. But my 2nd renewal was with an MSC # and also my AOS. So I think it's random where they send it.

After my biometrics itI took about 3-4 weeks? Then my interview date was sent another 4-5 weeks after I received my 1 year EAD.

Let us know how it goes! Best of luck, you got this!

Your EAD was 3 to 4 weeks after bio? Also, I just saw your signature... Don't you need 3 years from receiving LPR to being eligible for USC?

OK. Cool! I should have known from your username that you were in California lol. Sorry. Both of my DACA requests (initial & renewal) were LIN (NSC). This was the first time I've seen the MSC receipt #s so I was curious. Thanks for your timeline. I'm anxious to get the ball rolling I'll def keep you all updated!
