My work permit and AP was approved this past Friday and my interview is being scheduled. I applied in August and completed my biometrics in September 6. My lawyer said it's possible I'll get an interview date this year. I'm just glad things are progressing as scheduled.

AOS is definately a lot faster than the DACA mess. My whole process from application to having green card in hand took only a little bit more than four months. I obviously wouldn't expect it to be as fast in say NYC, but not bad for living in Chicago.

You guys, why didn't you tell me you can find out the priority dates for sure (without getting confused by the visa bulletin) by CALLING USCIS?

Last week I called about my DACA and I found that option navigating through the phone system.

I'm an idiot, yes, I know. I'm not used to dealing with people and the phone. lol

In other news, I'm still about 2 years into waiting for my priority date to be current I might have to renew my DACA again before I can do my AoS. Sigh

When did you file for your AOS? I am from NYC too. I filed for my DACA last May and my appointment for biometrics is nxt week lol. I did my biometrics last week for my AOS already. DACA process is really slow. Hopefully I hear something soon on my AOS.

I got my approval notice for EAD via AOS on October 6th, but still have not received the actual work permit in the mail. Any idea how long the card takes to ship?
