You may qualify for in-state tuition! I’ve been digging around and googling several universities in GA to compare their policies for non citizens. One of those is called “presidential waiver” but it’s very limited and almost nobody knows of it. I’m order to qualify you need to excel in your program of study or an athlete. I’ve been paying out of state tuition for years and I decided to go back to school last year to get a different career. This time around I applied myself more and applied for several scholarships that were being given by my school and I also ended up with a very high GPA.
I showed my school the policies from different universities around GA and I got it! I was ready for them to rebutte but they didn’t. I was going to show them my pending I485 (marriage based) along with my AP/EAD combo card but it wasn’t necessary.
I also saw that if you have an I94 that has not expired, you may qualify for HOPE. My lawyer advised me to go to the port in Savannah and request the I94. That will be my next step.
