After the Dream Act passes. How many of you would be willing to become advocates against bringing undocumented children to America? I, for one, do not want to see other children growing up in my situation. The American Dream cant be achieved by undocumented people.

What do you guys think?

Do you think we can bargain with them by saying if you pass the DREAM Act we'll speak out against bringing minors illegally into the USA.

I'm almost thirty and have been here since I was 2 and I don't wish this life not even to my worst enemy.

Of course there are always exceptions to this. Like if the kid was facing certain death if they stayed in their country.

What's ur opinion?

Can you please stop with these nonsense posts about what we are going to do after DA passes?

You sound like a dying cancer patient, talking about what you want to do when you get better.

It's not going to pass for 8 years. You can think about it then.

Thats exactly the kind of talk that is going to prevent us from ever getting it. If you would've read my post more carefully it says would you BE WILLING to advocate as A CONDITION of getting our DREAM Act.

I want to present it to Rubio or anyone that will listen but I want to know what others think about it. My life is far from being a cake walk and I DO NOT want to see others go through this!

While i support your notion, it's pretty useless to tell the GOP that we'll simply just start advocating against illegal immigration - since this is already being advocated against by EVERYONE! It'll do no good at all, and since when did our word on it count anyways?

Yes but I doubt that parents who bring their children here illegally realize what they're doing to their children. I don't even tell my own parents how I feel. They already feel bad enough. Besides, they're suffering just as much as me. Working hard labor jobs into their sixties.

This is dumb. Nobody chooses to be illegal, unless you mean EWI bullcrap. But most people overstayed. It takes many many years until you exhausted your options to legalize and by that time the child is already "American" in most sense of the word.

Of course not. People come and do not mean to stay illegal. They expect to have been granted legal status before they become overstayers.

Find me someone who says "oh lets go the US and just overstay and become illegals."

And I already made my point about exempting EWI. They probably just want to make a quick buck and mail money home.

My parents and millions of other people. Sure they expect to get legalized at some point but they dont expect it to happen before they overstay.
