Hey guys I'm getting married soon and still debating whether to apply on my own or hire a lawyer. How hard is it to apply for those that have done it on their own? Also can someone that EWI and did AP and applied to AOS post what their packet look like and if they did it on their own or with a lawyer?

Yes indeed. Our interview was on a Thursday, by the next Monday (4 days later the Welcome Notice) was in the mail and another 4 days later (Friday) I received my Green Card in the mail. It took a week and a day.

My parents brought me to the US when I was 18 months old, cleared my EWI through DACA this September and self-filed for AOS shortly after. This is what my package included:

-Form G-1145 E-Notification of application/petition acceptance

-I-485 Application To Register Permanent Residence Or Adjust Status
(2) Passport-type photos of applicant
Applicant's birth certificate with full English translation
G-325A Biographical Information for Applicant
Passport biographical page
Passport entry stamp
CBP I-94 Retrieval Print-out
Stamped form I-512 (AP)
Most recent DACA approval

- I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record

- I-130 Petition For Alien Relative
(1) Passport-type photo of U.S. citizen
(1) Passport-type photo of applicant
U.S. citizen's birth certificate
U.S. citizen's passport biographical page
Marriage certificate
G-325A Biographical Information for US Citizen
G-325A Biographical Information for Applicant
Joint bank account statements (2 most recent years)

I-864 Affidavit of Support
Letter explaining why sponsor has been unemployed and hasn’t filed taxes in the last three years, with evidence supporting the statement (school)
My Federal Tax Return transcripts (past three years)
My pay stubs from the most recent six months
Employment Verification Letter
Previously issued Employment Authorization Documents (front & back)
Social security card

- I-765 Application For Employment Document
(2) Passport-type photos
Previously issued Employment Authorization Document (front & back)

- I-131 Application For Travel Document
(2) Passport-type photos
Passport biographical page

Again, I self-filed and did not receive any RFEs. My case status recently changed to 'ready to schedule interview' a week after bios, shortly after a month from initial submission.

Edit: forgot to add, although my wife is sponsoring me, we are using my income to meet the requirement. Wife is a full time student and has no income. You can use your income as long as it's earned legally (EAD).

CONGRATS! Was the adjustment through marriage? If so, what questions did they ask in the interview.

I'm an overstay. Is the passport stamp all that is needed to show that you came in with inspection, or is the I-94 also needed?
Thanks
