I was also asked details about our apartment, asked how I met my husband, asked whether my husband has ever met my parents and siblings, I was asked their names, I was asked if we had ever taken any trips together. The interviewer asked us to leave some pictures from our photo album and also provide any documents that shows comingling. We had bills with our names on them as well as insurance documents. We were thankfully approved on the spot.
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing and coming back to DAP. Some people never come back to give advice after they adjust.

Interesting, thank you for sharing.

For those that got the combo EAD/AP card, do you still have to provide evidence of humanitarian reasons to apply for the AP? Im doing AOS.

I just want to know has anyone traveled outside the U.S. with their work permit received in a few months after marrying a U.S. citizen?
Is it safe to do so and are there any differences between a work permit from marriage and a work permit from DACA if all you want is to travel back to your country (like visiting your parents)? Thanks.

You have to apply for advance parole if you want to leave the country and re-enter the US. You can't just use a work permit and leave. I have a EAD/AP combo card and yes there is a difference between a DACA EAD and a AOS EAD, with the DACA EAD you can only apply for AP for humanitran purposes and if you apply for AOS EAD and when you apply for AP you don't need to have a explaination to leave the country and come back.

To apply for the combo card EAD/AP via AOS. Do you still have to show proof of humanitarian reasons with the form I-131? If not, you leave all questions that ask date of travel, purpose of travel, etc blank?

It is technically better. AP is usually granted for 1 year and is multi-entry compared to the one granted under DACA.

You don't have to explain your reason if applying threw AOS EAD/AP
