It depends on how competent the lawyer may think they are and how much they charge by the hour. That sounds pretty reasonable actually. I have seen 5-6 nominally for the more experienced lawyers.

Also for those that worked undocumented and provided fake documents to work. Did you said yes to question 9 in part 3 of I-485 and then explained your situation?
What sort of fake documents are we talking about?

Today I received my Biometrics appointment for AOS. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do Biometrics again as I had my Bio appointment for DACA renewal on 10/26/16. I submitted everything on 11/17. Biometrics appointment for 12/21.

My lawyer charged $3,000 + the $2,450 in Fees for the application. That doesn't account for any other fees such as your USCIS Physical or any other small fees such as your passport photos and such.

Thanks for responding everyone. I think I'm just going to go though a lawyer. I don't have the mind to fill the forms this time. One more question. Do I have to do the physical before I apply or I just have to do it before the interview?

@Ianus: Thanks for the information! I appreciate it!

To answer some questions...

I applied August 15th and was scheduled for an interview for January 10 on December 7. I was not asked for finger printing (as of yet).

I still have yet to receive my official letter in the mail...

Also, my brother (a paralegal at an immigration firm) helped me fill out the paperwork. It was not very convoluted. It cost me $500 plus the government fees.

And yes, you have to have an immigration physical. Make sure the doctor you go to is registered/able to do it. They just asked me a couple of questions and gave me two shots - an MMR and TB, I think.

It was easy just be sure to not goof on your information as after the test, results are sealed and you cannot open them.

Yes, physical must be submitted with your initial application.

I filed with a lawyer as well. i paid $2500 for the lawyer which included AP first and AOS after. USCIS fees were out of pocket. Probably spent close to $6k for everything. I probably could've filed it all myself but ive been a happy LPR since August so it was well worth it for me.
