Hi DACA fam. I'm adding myself to this list for DACA > AOS. I was going to wait until 2017 to file my AOS application, but TRUMP happened so the urgency to submit my app is now. I am EWI and am married to a USC. Deets below:

- Nov 2014 - received initial DACA approval
- Apr 2016 - successfully used AP to travel to and from the Philippines
- Jun 2016 - filed for DACA renewal
- Sep 2016 - married my husband (together for 8 yrs, engaged for 2 of those yrs)
- Oct 2016 - received approval for DACA renewal
- Dec 2016 - submitting AOS application via attorney (my case is complicated since I am adopted) The docs they filed were I-485, I-765, I-131, G325A, I-130, I-864, G28, & I-693 aka sealed medical exam.

Now the wait begins, will update this thread as my application progresses. Also, does anyone know if my pending I-485 will grant me authorization to remain in the US if DACA, for some horrific reason, is taken away once Trump takes office?

Just got my AP. I'm going to travel between January 1st - 7th.
Should I worry? Will they let me back in? Is there anything I should know? What will they ask me at the airport?

You will be fine. Obama is still president and there should be no changes to the Way DACA is being processed at the airport or borders with DHS or TSA

I actually had an chance to get AP last year, but didn't take it cuz I was afraid they wouldn't let me back in the country. Too much to lose.

Now I am kicking myself (so hard!) for not doing it for more than one reason but mainly bc of AOS. I was sure that DACA would be here to stay. But then I was devastated when I found out Trump won. I thought I was screwed for sure. Now today, its really unclear whether it will stay or not.

Sometimes you have to take the risk. Ask yourself this: what would be the consequence of you not going? Would you regret it later?

I'm married to a USC. Once I come back (if I'm lucky enough) I will imminently apply for residency.
