So wild to see daca going to bat for this disastrous outcome when they too can be sent to the bukele death camp on just an accusation. No trial no nothing. Lol anyone can. Even homegrowns. Meaning citizens.

This is what they do in North Korea.

Also, kind of glad Chuck Schumer didn't insert democrats into a government shutdown or really anything. All the past 3 months of clusterfucks can't be pinned on democrats.

Expecting a tremendous blue tsunami come midterms.

I mean, thanks to the Laken Reily act, each one us needs an evil person to accuse us of shoplifting and off we go. And if you have a tattoo, good luck.

Lots of stupid Tito Tomás'es over here. They think that they're "one of the good ones" rather than "next on the chopping block".

I believe they share some responsibility as well. They backed an immigration bill that allows for immigrants to be accused of a crime to be deported without any due process. Schumer effectively gave the green light to Democratic senators to support this bill, a narrow majority voted in favor, ultimately leading to its passage and official signing into law.

The entire narrative right now is that immigrants are being denied due process, and frankly, Democrats only made things worse.

The wife doesn't say she wasn't afraid of him.

Literally went to court to get a restaining order.

As a victim of domestic violence, let me tell you: you have to tell the truth to court to apply for restraining order.

If she lied, she'll go to jail too.

F'ed up familia.

It doesn't matter. Even the worst raping murderer deserves a trial by jury.

What makes this country great is the rule of law and a government that is accountable to its citizens and abiding to a set of rules. Obviously in practice the government isn't always perfect and the rules are bent a lot of the time, but if the government starts explicitly and shamelessly breaking the rules it sets for itself, then there's no protection for anyone.

As for the particular dude in question, it wouldn't surprise me if he had done some bad things. But I have a lot of sympathy, because he got propelled to the public eye through no fault of his own and in the process found himself in a middle of a game political football. In the process, his reputation got trashed by people who just want to score political points and have no real interest in finding the truth.

The same people who are sure that he abused his wife also said that he was a human trafficker when he was not or that he was a member of MS13 when it's likely that he was not and that MS13 is a terrorist group when it's very definitely not (although it's a terrible gang).

Remember he escaped at the age of 16 because a rival gang to MS13 threatened his life. That's why there's so much bs in this story. These central american gangs aren't like the mafia where only those who want to join become members. Their tactic is blackmailing you to join them and doing some nasty things by threatening to kill you or a loved one.
