Going by this it looks like you won't be able to get a work permit if you're still with your parents

Also there's the issue of having a decent bank account.. Though you might be able to get away with withdrawing everything, moving out and opening a new account at a new bank with a fraction of your savings

Let's just wait and see, because it makes no sense applying for deferred action and not being able to get a work permit. No work permit, means No social security number, No social security, means no driver license. If that's the case, what's the point of the applying. We would just be giving the government all our personal information for basically nothing.

that makes no sense whatsoever. If anything, people living by themselves would be the ones not being able to get a work permit since they already afford being by themselves. Being with your parents mean you can't afford to move out...everyone knows that. In fact a lot of people move in with their parents when they are going through hard times.

This,

Even though I make decent money, I am always with almost no fund on my bank accounts. I pay for my tuition and my brothers, bills and car.

So, this better be economic hardship.

This is all speculation and absolutely not word of mouth directly from DHS. So whoever is reading these posts, do not be misguided or distressed. The only solid information we have are the requirements, everything else are rumors.

It really depends on the state, to be honest. Unfortunately, in some, it seems you're right. Others, however, have different requirements that allow people with a grant of Deferred Action to get licenses (e.g., Texas).

I live by myself. I rent a room.

Don't say its easy/affordable to live by myself.

Its hard.

Imagine doing that and going to college and paying everything from your own pocket.
