I paid for an attorney for the first application, then paid for the attorney to do a “proof-read” of the second. The others have been all by myself. I did pay a lot for the attorney to my I-765 though, but I could afford it.

I think it’s reasonable to charge someone $150 to do it but 1k that’s insane

If someone hasn't done it before, yeah, it can be nerve-ticking. Heck. I have done it 4 times by now and it's still a lot of "triple checking" because how the form does change every year or two. But at the end I know what I am getting into. Either way, thanks for sharing this with the community. It's always good to have someone in the community supporting.
