350 dollars an hour? Yes, you're being ripped off.

You can just stay very informed and on top of things to do all the paperwork yourself.

That is a lot. Most offer free consultation and if you proceed with the case, they will tell you upfront what the final cost will be. Some will work with you to pay monthly feees.

$250 an hour is a lot of money even for a legit lawyer, specially in our situation. I suggest you look for another one, or just stay tuned in this forum. People here are pretty good with posting helpful info for everyone.

Lawyers usually ask for 100 per hour... 250 is ridiculous youre not a millionare in a murder trial. I dont think you need a lawyer though u should just do the research and apply. Its going to be like applying for an ID. I think you should only involve a lawyer if you already know/trust one or if you get denied after application in which case you would be getting deported and definitely need a lawyer. But other than that no lawyer.

What is the firm's name?

Of course there's not a "flat fee"; per hour rates means more money. Filling out a "formal" deferred action request through a Stay of Removal form costs $155.00; look it up. If you have all the requiring info, biographical and biometric, I don't see the need to give hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I think you should give it time until we know more details before you go call a lawyer.
