There are so many jobs out there that Americans would rather be unemployed than do. I can think of CNA, housekeeper, nanny, farm work, ect.....
Americans would never do those jobs but they need those services. Plus the majority of American labor force is aging so immigrants are needed more than ever!

This is for a future here in the US with careers and such@.@ not horrible jobs.
besides we ourselves are trying to be american citizens and most of us already consider ourselves more american than anything else, to say Americans don't want those jobs that includes us.

Being from a french speaking country, when I first arrived in the us, naturally starting high school I began in esol1. When second semester came I went to my teacher and asked for a higher level but she convinced me that there's more I needed to learn in level1 and I stayed (thanks mrs. Yesiltas). Thinking about it now I think that was a very very good decision because level1 taugh me about reading something carefully and understanding it clearly before responding to it. Some people here need to return to esol1 and learn about careful reading.....no joke!

Immigrants are like the working oil in an engine. The line between the boundaries of how acceptable is becomes fuzzy when we talk about customs, ethics, they bring along with them when they've entered the country.

This week Econtalk addressed a topic that applies very well to this notion. It was discussed how the rise of entitlement programs and the expansion of the economical safety net caused low-skilled jobs to be no longer worth it for the average American since you can get more through unemployment benefits, food stamps, tax exemptions, and so on.

Although they did not discuss immigration in the episode, its pretty self-evident that we do not have a problem with working on tough jobs. This is partially true due because we do not have a safety net to rely on, and also because most of us (or our parents at least) are used to a grittier life.

This is the first thing you've said that I'll agree with.

You weirdos get DACA, and everything you need to to reach whatever your "dreamer" dreams will allow you to do, and you are talking... "nanny, and jobs americans don't want to do" lol... you don't need DACA for any of those jobs...

America needs immigration, as long as its legal so people aren't under paid, and doing ridiculously dangeroous jobs "under the table" with no health benefits.
