wait..i thought Bank Of America is a regular bank. Citibank and Wells Fargo, will also allow you to get an Account without an SSN, and i just got this today RahmanIV i just told them straight up that i did not have an SSN, i didnt even show 2 proofs of ID; just the passport, and this is in the state of Nevada. so im not sure what experience you've had with banks, or what state you are in, but i was able to open one today. I only got it wit Bof A b/c BofA allows you to get a Picture Id with a bankcard(debit card) and i need that for a health card, so now i can apply at family owned restaruants

to cadman no prob man, they will give you your acct numbr and your bank card/atm number, at the branch when you get an acct; that is what you need when you apply for the online banking. i just did it today. it was pretty easy and it took about 5-10 min. to apply for online banking online.

^ Thats seems alright then. So I take it there are also no minimum monthly fees for the campus edge account. The My Access checkpoint says it explicitly. I am still looking for withdrawal limits, any type of transaction limits, in general, stupid fees that come back to bite you in the butt.

As a final thought. If you ever have to use that Haphazard (I mean Stuff Happens) card, means you probably shouldn't have bank account, as you are unable to properly balance it.

I may seem paranoid, but as you may be able to notice, I try to be as aware as possible of fine print.

cadman dont worry bro, we are all paranoid, being in the status we all are in, i assure you what the guy told me at the bank, is that i have a campus edge account and there is no monthly fees, and no minimum balance for both my savings and checking acct. now as far as the transaction limits and other fees, im pretty sure there is a fee if you are using an ATM other than BofA's especially in my case where im in vegas, and ATM's on the Strip charge atleast $2.50, as far as withdrawal limits, he said depending on one's account, it is up to 1000 a day u can withdrawal, in my case its only 500, but deposits are unlimited, meaning no limit, obviously b/c if one was to deposit a paycheck and it was something like 750 or what not, then it would need to clear, other than that, it is also going to take a day for checks to clear that are over 500, and if it is 500 or more that is deposited at times those funds wont be available till the next day.

*also...Overdraft fee, is 25$ and so are bounced checks.

My mom has all a DL an ID and a SSN so the way I was able to get a Credit Card was through her. Basiclly she applied for an American Express. In the application it asks if you wanna add a family member to your account.
It asks for the family members name (that will appear on the credit card) date of birth and SSN.
I dont have a SSN so we left it blank, in a couple of weeks we both got the American Express card and when it came time to activate it my mother just used her SSN to activate both card.

I mainly just use it to buy stuff over the phone or online bacause I dont have an ID to show it to a sales clerk at a store. But hey at least that kinda helps build my credit alittle.

Lora, if you are worried about not having an ID, to show at stores, you can get the BofA debit card, or credit card, with a photo on it, so you have ID, it doesnt show your DOB, but at least you have a form of ID when you pay
