House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said Wedneday that he still considered acting on some form of immigration reform a priority for the Republican party, despite months of inaction and tepid support among his caucus.

"I still think immigration reform is an important subject that needs to be addressed. And I'm hopeful," Boehner told reporters at a weekly Capitol Hill briefing.

Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), a key player in House immigration talks, told the Washington Post Tuesday that a “number” of House GOPers are discussing a piecemeal approach that would address the nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants but that could also attract a substantial number of Republican votes.

“There are a number of us who are working on a proposal to deal with the folks who are here in a way that allows those who have not committed crimes to get right with the law,” he said

Great news.

First step, is that he said it was important. Like it wasnt before...and now it is...

Second step, is for him to take action and allow a vote.

We need more exposure. Can't let CIR get overshadowed like it did by the shutdown and now possibly ACA problems..
