"President Obama officially nominated Sen. Judd Gregg (N.H.) as Commerce secretary on Tuesday, insisting the fiscally conservative Republican would play a major role in the administration."

"Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), one of several GOP senators who pleaded with Gregg to stay, told CNBC on Tuesday that Gregg’s decision was a “mistake,” because he was so important as a senator."

Now we wait for the replacement.

The replacement will be Bonnie Newman.

She’s not particularly ideological, and she’s not socially conservative,” Smith said. “She can come into an organization and figure out what’s going on very quickly.”

That didn't take too long.

“I would describe her as a Rockefeller Republican, a typical northeastern Republican. She’s not particularly ideological, and she’s not socially conservative,” Smith said. “She can come into an organization and figure out what’s going on very quickly.”

She may support us, but I need to hear more. Lets hope she is similar to Collins or Snowe.

EDIT: From the little info I have gathered it seems she may be a RINO on social issues which is good news. We just have to wait and see to confirm.

A Rockefeller Republican -- a welcome sight. From that brief description, she sounds like Snowe and Collins.

Yes! The GR's (good Republicans) are the Rockefeller liberals and moderates. These are the ones we need leadership from when it comes to getting those few GOP votes.
