I'm confused. So, if it passes the Senate, this is still temporary until February 16? Why are they not passing a permanent bill rather than temporary one?

Some Democrats vote yes just to be on record after they realize that the GOP House has enough votes to pass the bill.

Surely people will read news on their own. This is not about Senate’s votinf. This is the news on the House passage. Let’s not merge two separate news. we can just lock the news. It helps people to follow what’s actually happening in the news section.
