I was more inclined to believe Ryan, until he said there won't be a deportation force, then Trump signed an EO for what's pretty much a deportation force today.

I still don't think this is set in stone yet. I do believe this was proposed and a very real possibility Trump will sign it.

Let's not forgot Sean Spicer lied to the American people during his first press conference, so it's hard to believe anything they say.

yeah, not being pessimistic but from what I have seen in rest of the EOs incl. legal immigration- relatively speaking keeping EAD cards is a softer tone in itself- that's not saying much. Hopefully they do work something out, but knowing congress it'll take some luck and the right sort of shit storm to get anything with "heart" thru.

nothing set in stone i agree. today was his immigration roll out right? nothing more later on the week? or is is he gonna roll out continued EO's on immigration for the rest of the week?

the leaked document was dated 1/23. he couldve signed and rolled it out today with the rest. there are only 2 other options,

1 - he either didnt sign it and put it on ice. (based on what Sean Spicer said that it is not an immediate priority)
2 - he signed it for "more discussion needed."

Could someone gain some kind of permanent status in say... a year's time after getting married to a US Citizen in the event DACA is overturned? Is the processing time generally over a year after getting married?

This means Bridge act is the best hope we have! I think this is how trump is using us to move his agenda. Once this issue seems urgent, demonstrates will demand the passage of the Bridge act, which means trump can then demand more stuff for whatever else. So for us, we really need to organize and push for Bridge.

also, super thankful for daca by Obama but these EOs and others already signed show exactly how it needs to be done! Go big when you get the reins, looks a missed opportunity in hindsight.
